Last weekend we had so much of snow thanks to “Daisy”. The “big freeze” brought a lot of chaos to Europe especially Germany and the UK. Although the rest of the nation was complaining – we enjoyed it to the max.
Skiing, sledging and building snowmen was basically how we spent the weekend. It could not have been better. After the snow came gorgeous blue skies and arctic cold. So I packed my gear and went for a walk. To capture some of the winter wonderland, I live in.
I live just a 5 minute drive outside of Weimar. The fields that surround our suburb, tucked away on a little hill, is a canvas for artists and photographers regardless of the season and weather.
Hope you enjoy a glimpse of the scenery I enjoy everyday.
Have a great weekend – where ever you are and whatever your weather!
Hugs!

Beautiful views of snow, ours looks such a mess out the window once the cars have driven through it!

Oh thank you Meeta, that is just so beautiful. We are having the other extremes with temperatures as high as 39-45 C.....
That looks so beautiful Meeta! Over here the snow is now melting after having had it for about a month. I wish we would get some fresh snow. It looks so much better!
Awww, this makes me nostalgic for the snow (if not the chaos it caused...). Still, we got a big dump in February '09, so maybe there's more to come!
What stunning pictures and views! Ur so lucky to live close to such beauty.
Oh gosh, all that's missing are those carved houses with the lights inside them, heh heh :) I hope it's warm and cozy where you are right now!
So beautiful! :-) Sigh, one of my dearest friends lives in Northern Germany and this makes me homesick for her. :-)
I love snow, the pictures are amazing! gloria

Lovely Meeta....we were all prepared for the big freeze on sunday but it didn't quite come!!!!!!! This has to be one of my best winters ever!
Beautiful retro looking pictures. Did you shoot them that way or did you do something to them in post? Would love to get some real snow here like we did one day last year.
stunning phtographs!
I might have been a mess, but it sure made for some gorgeous shots :-)
Gorgeous Meeta. I grew up in the Pfalz and I miss it so. Thanks.
Absolutely stunning shots of the winter. I've never seen snow in real life before!
