DESTINATION DUBAI 7 & 8 OCTOBER | THE EXPERIENCE
With this fascinating food adventure in Dubai, we hope to offer a unique 2-day experience for all our participants. It includes photography and styling sessions, lots of individual and some team practical hands-on exercises, as well as an excursion to the old historic neighborhood Bastakiya and the vibrant Bur Dubai, a ride on the abra to visit the old spice souk, fish market and the fruit and vegetable market to get a feel of Arabian daily life stretching back for centuries. Throughout our walking tour we will stop to taste specific specialties. Over the entire two days there will be delicious meals prepared by the students and chefs of SCAFA designing an exquisite finale dinner menu, Chef Russell of Lafayette Gourmet returns to create a convivial lunch buffet and we have planned an exciting night out in the Jumeirah Lake Towers area to experience a unique fusion of Dubai’s molecular gastronomy.Make sure you come back and check out the review, the images and the impressions of this magnificent workshop in Dubai!

WORKSHOPS 2016
May 2016: Rome, Italy Food Photography and Styling Retreat
A 2-day retreat in the heart of the Italian countryside. We focused on photo and styling processes, from basics natural light manipulations to more advanced ones. We guided participants to create succulent stories with their photos, create the right atmosphere and share current food styling and prop trends. We also covered a full session on mobile photography: working with various apps, creating appealing images with a smartphone and finding the mobile mojo!

Food Photography and Styling Workshop
Under the theme Globally Influenced this fascinating and a power-packed 2-day workshop is aimed to help you to draw from your creativity and inspire you to find and strengthen your personal style. We have put together, what we hope will be a creative, challenging but a fun workshop You will learn all the fundamental elements needed to hone your skills in food photography. Guided sessions will also show you how to find your way through the jungle of food styling to create the perfect set-up.
Focused and comprehensive sessions will give insight on camera techniques, mastering light and lighting to capture the perfect image, finding and selecting props, composing the perfect shot, the rules of placement and angles are all important aspects covered in this workshop.
With many practical assignments, a lot of theory, hands-on group work and creative feedback from the instructors we will help you equip yourself with the know-how to create beautiful food and tabletop images.
