Summer Time and the Living is Easy, Good & Lazy

Hay Rolls by Meeta K. Wolff

That’s the way we roll in the summer. Enjoying long lazy days, taking in all that nature offers and spending a lot of time outdoors. It’s been a good summer and I’ve just returned from a most exhilarating, stunning and relaxing vacation. A road trip that took us to 3 destinations through 5 countries and I am dying to tell you about it. And I will as soon as I have decompressed and shifted through the hundreds of photos.

While I do that I am sharing the spirit of my summer here in Weimar with you and give you an idea why I love this little city so much. Each season holds some wonderful visual treasure and I have been taking my camera out with me almost daily to capture some of these lovely sights that I encounter everyday.

Kick off your shoes, pour yourself your favorite drink, get comfy and enjoy summer through my camera.

Summer is vivid colors of a quaint house smiling from behind a curtain of lush green trees

Summer also means waiting in line for your favorite street food … what that is shall be revealed later this week

Street Food-0101

What is summer to you?

I’d love to hear how you are spending your summer days and please share links to your favorite summer images so we can all indulge in some warm summery feeling.

Stay tuned as later this week I’ll share Germany’s favorite street food and will take you behind the scenes of my favorite street food joint here in Weimar.

If you have not heard … this month’s mingle revolves all around Street Food and the Monthly Mingle is being hosted over at Zizi’s Adventures. I’ve already seen some finger licking good entries. If you would like to join us you still have plenty of time as the deadline is 31st August.

  5. With such a busy life I'm so glad you got to relax with your family. I too have hundreds of photos of the rolling countryside but in UK and Switzerland. A peek here http://trekforlebanon.wordpress.com/2012/08/15/walk-bibury-countryside/ The green keeps me going for the rest of the year as a resident of a desert land.

The picture of the frites window brought back great memories.

You wouldn't have a recipe for Pomme Frites Salz, would you?

    Have a Joyful Day :~D

  9. Meeta! What gorgeous photos! You have done your city a great honor capturing its beauty and sharing it here! Over here it is no longer summer (our summer is from March-May), but summer here to me is always the beach, sandy shores, palm trees, blue sky and sea, blazing sun, ice cold beer, and the best mangoes in the world! :) Here are some images from last year: http://80breakfasts.blogspot.com/2011/05/back-from-neverland.html :)
