I am back from London! Phew! What can I say - London energizes, enlivens and exhausts me. It’s a city so full of wonderful impressions and creativity that one needs to free the mind to empower it with all the impacts it is fed with.
The weekend was sensational and so full of creative intensity I have come away feeling like I am walking on clouds. Do you know that feeling?
Twelve wonderful and ambitious participants, driven by their common love for photography, styling and food made this a rocking 2 days. We covered everything from light, depth of field, props, colors, textures and low-light / restaurant photography led by Jeanne as our special guest and so much more. Add to it a delectable food tour of Pakistani and Indian street food created by Sumayya and some divine Pub food at the Chiswell Dining Rooms we had ample opportunities to shoot our food and then indulge in all the various dishes.
And … I took many images and cannot wait to take you on a virtual tour of the workshop with me. Today I share a little sneak peek to entice you a bit. I am travelling again, this time to the slopes of Bavaria for a bit of skiing, spa and (of course) food. If I do not break a leg I promise to come back and tell you the whole London story.
Stay tuned … in the meantime you can get a bit of an idea of what we all got up to at the London Workshop over at our Storify page. It’s a fantastic recap and we keep updating it as details from all our participants and sponsors come in.

If you missed the London Workshop and this has whet your appetite, I’ll be hosting another styling and photography workshop in March here in Weimar. A package deal that includes tuition, accommodation, meals and a whole lot more - not to mention connecting with like-minded people and talking, taking and inhaling food, photography and styling for 2 days.
Check out the Weimar workshop details!
